We are providing First contact Physiotherapy services in GP practises
We are working as extended scope physiotherapists/Advancing practice physiotherapists in musculoskeletal interface services which are responsible for the assessment of peripheral and spinal MSK and rheumatology and effectively triage them. We will be starting FCP services in couple of Primary care networks in September and few are at final stages of negotiation. Within the service, we have also ability the authority to organize x-rays, MRI’s, NCS, Blood tests, USS and guided injections. We also arrange secondary care referrals if needed.
We are qualified injection therapists and regularly practice this within the interface service. In addition to above, members of our teams have completed a postgraduate certificate in MSK diagnostic ultrasound and can perform ultrasound-guided injection and prescriber. We are IRMER/ICE trained.
